How to read a landed-cost quote
Factory price is only part of the story. How freight, duty, inspection and MOQ turn a cheap quote into the real cost of a part at your dock.
Factory price is the start, not the answer
An EXW or FOB price excludes a lot. Freight, insurance, customs duty, brokerage and any inspection all land on top before the part reaches you. Two quotes with the same unit price can have very different true costs once these are added.
Watch the quantity terms
Minimum order quantity (MOQ) and price breaks change the picture fast. A lower unit price at a 50-piece MOQ can cost more in total than a slightly higher price at the quantity you actually need. Normalize everything to your real order quantity.
